United Naga Council: Declaration Of Genna

The President of the the United Naga Council (UNC) on Thursday issued a Declaration of Genna.

The declaration read “on the occasion of Civic Reception in honour of Eno Th. Muivah, Honโ€™ble Ato Kilonser, GPRN on the 29th of October 2025 at Tahamzam (Senapati) District Headquarters, in reverence to our traditions and cultural practices, we, the Nagas in the present state of Manipur, hereby declare a Genna on the occasion of the historic Civic Reception in honour of the living legend Eno Th. Muivah at Tahamzam (Senapati) on 29th October 2025.”

During this Genna, we call upon all community members to:

1. Declare holidays: All educational institutions, and shops shall remain closed as a mark of respect.

2. Abstain from economic activities: Refrain from all economic and commercial activities.

3. Participate in the community gatherings and programmes to celebrate the occasion.

4. Uphold the spirit of unity and solidarity.

“Let this Genna be a symbol of unity, strength, and commitment in a quest for self-determination

based on the Unique History and Position. May our collective efforts bring peace, prosperity and progress to the Nagas” stated the declaration signed by NG. Lorho, President of UNC.
