The Village Vision 2030 and Village Action Plan (VAP) for 26 villages of Kamjong District under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan was finalized yesterday. The planning exercise, facilitated by the District Nodal Officer, saw the participation of Block Nodal Officers, Master Trainers, officials from line departments and the UDCRMS team. The session was chaired by H. L. Jain, ADC Kamjong.

The session focused on consolidating village vision statements, conducting gap analysis and aligning sectoral priorities with departmental programmes to ensure coordinated implementation. Discussions covered key thematic areas such as infrastructure, livelihoods, education, health, natural resource management and local governance. Village representatives actively participated in the deliberations, expressing strong support for the shared development vision. Emphasis was laid on convergence of schemes and community involvement to achieve sustainable results.

The finalized plans will act as a strategic roadmap for inclusive, targeted and time-bound development across Kamjong District, strengthening local governance and advancing the district’s shared goals under Vision 2030.
