The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, office of the Wancho Region had isisued a clarification on Tuesday stating that the surrendered female cadre Mrs. Shikngam Wangpan was an ex-Naga army and was duly discharged from active national service in the year 2024.
Wangphun Wangsa, Caretaker/CAO, of Wancho Region, GPRN in a press release clarified that “whereas, the Wancho Region is compelled to issue this clarification in reference to various media outlet news regarding one surrendered female cadre Mrs.Shikngam Wangpan claiming to be Corporal of NSCN-IM before the Assam Riles of Khonsa in Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh. That, it is hereby clarified she was an ex-naga army and was duly discharge from active national service in the year 2nd April, 2024.
“She has thus become a public w.e.f. from the issuance of discharged order from the competent GPRN authority. Though the Wancho Region is grateful for here selfless contribution for the Naga nation, the concocted narrative to the Assam Rifles to claim false narrative in their personal accolade is not their first illogical decoration.”
The Wancho Region has requested the media outlet to verify every claims before any publication for ethical journalism.
