The Ukhrul District Headquarters Associate Unit Shanao Long has strongly condemned the very act of the army jawan of the 18 Assam Rifle, Madan Singh by name, son of Jagmohan Singh of Uttarakhand who allegedly attempted to kidnap two young girls by grabbing and pulling them into the car at Bethel Hospital, Kamphasom, Ukhrul in the broad daylight at around 12.15 pm on the 23rd September 2025.

The condemnation statement reads “in such a highly sensationalized situation, an army jawan cannot grab and drag and pull any person(s) under any pretext. Teasing or playing pranks from any unknown person/persons or stranger should never be taken as a joke where innumerable cases of child abuse, child/human trafficking cases have overwhelmed the region.

“We therefore, condemn yet again, the very act of the army jawan of the 18 Assam Rifle, Madan Singh by name, S/O Jagmohan Singh who attempted to kidnap two young girls by grabbing and pulling them into the car at Bethel Hospital, Kamphasom in the broad daylight (around 12.15 pm) of 23rd September 2025, which has been left aside as a minor case. We are compelled to forewarn every law enforcing agency to take such a case seriously by taking proper hearing from all concerned before jumping into conclusion.”

“We prepared to go any length in pursuit of justice, security and safety of all the people in the community” stated the condemnation statement signed by Florence Shimrah, President and Chonrei Shimrah, Secretary of Ukhrul District Headquarters Associate Unit Shanao Long.
