As part of the implementation of the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, a Special Gram Sabha of Sirarakhong Village, under Lungchong Meiphai Block in Ukhrul District, Manipur on 2 October 2025 approved the Village Action Plan Vision 2030.

The Village Action Plan is the culmination of various activities like Transect Walk, Resource Mapping and Manpower Mapping, carried out in the village under the Abhiyan by a Special team of the District comprising of District Master Trainers, Block Officials, Block Master Trainers and partner NGO (UDCRMS) along with the Village representatives, Sathis, Sahayogis and volunteers.

It provides a glimpse of the prevailing scenario in the village, highlighting its potential, problem areas and underdevelopment, and identifying areas that require intervention. The plan provides a roadmap for development in the village and achieving the projected vision in 2030, laying out the foundation for progress and development.

The plan synchronises the aspirations of the village with intervention programmes and includes various projects for progress in agriculture, health, education, entrepreneurship and welfare.

Representatives of the District and Block Administration along with partner NGO UDCRMS attended the programme at the village.

The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a flagship initiative under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to build a decentralized tribal leadership and governance ecosystem. Ukhrul District launched the programme on 24 September, 2025 with the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul Asish Das (IAS) inaugurating the District Level Orientation Programme at DRDA Training Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Ukhrul.

Further, the District Process Lab (DPL) for training of Block Master Trainers, representatives of Line Departments, and volunteers was conducted from 25 September, 2025 and concluded successfully on 27 September, 2025. The Abhiyan will be carried out across the district in 52 villages in all the 4 Blocks, and has already commenced at Halang Village and Lamlang village besides Sirarakhong, which is the Pilot village of the District.
