Ahead of PM Modi Visit; En Masse Resignation By BJP Phungyar

Ahead of PM Modi’s proposed visit to the crisis hit Manipur, members of 43/Phungyar BJP Mandal & Morcha of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Manipur Pradesh tendered collective resignation from the Primary Membership of the BJP today.

The pres release stated “we, the undersigned, 43/Phungyar BJP Mandal & Morcha of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Manipur Pradesh, hereby tender our collective resignation from the Primary Membership of the BJP with immediate effect.

“The resignation was led by Ngachonmi Ramshang, Special Invitees, BJP Manipur Pradesh, who along with several Senior active members and Primary Members. The 43-Phungyar BJP Mandal President and Colleague, Mahila Morcha President and Colleague, Yuva Morcha President and Colleague, Kishan Morcha President and Colleague, ST Morcha Executive, along with 53 Booth President, officially resign their Primary Member from BJP.

“We, the members expressed our deep concern over the present state of affairs within the party and highlighted a lack of consultation, inclusiveness, and respect for grassroots leadership as major reasons. Our loyalty to the Party and its ideology has always been unwavering. We reaffirmed our commitment to work for the welfare of our Community and the People of Manipur.”

President of 43-Phungyar BJP Mandal, Yuingam Keishing added “it was our collective decision considering our future prospect, we have tendered our resignation from the party.”
