MLA of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency, Khashim Vashum, Ex-Minister Transport and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Manipur sponsored a medical health camp at Teinem village, Ukhrul District, Manipur in collaboration with Directorate of AYUSH, Government of Manipur. The medical health camp was organised by an NGO, Weaker Community’s Action For Development (WCAD).

Chairman of Teinem Village, Ningtam Ramror stated that “we are indeed grateful to MLA Khashim Vashum for sponsoring this kind of medical health camp. We are hopeful that many villagers will get health benefits. We are equally grateful to doctors and staff for coming toTeinem and rendering their selfless service.”

WS Ningtipla stated, “we are very grateful to MLA Khashim Vashum for sponsoring this kind of medical health camp. We also look forward to having more such health camps in the future.”

Medical Superintendent of AYUSH, Dr. Pamlei Khayi stated that, “the medical health camp at Teinem is being organised with the sponsorship from MLA Khashim Vashum. Teinem village being under his constituency, he has arranged this medical health camp with utmost concern for his people. Because of the prevailing situation in Manipur, we could not come with the full team. In spite of that, we would render our best service to the villagers.”

President of WCAD, Ngamreiwung Horam informed that “WCAD primarily works for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society. Today’s initiative is also being organised as most of the villagers could not afford to go to hospitals at Imphal and Ukhrul. We also work with concerned authority on drug related issues.”

A member of WCAD, Sowung Woleng informed that “Around 500 villagers turned up for the health camp and more than 200 PMJAY health cards were updated.”

The villagers who attended the medical health camp received medical attention from the visiting doctors along with free medicines.
