Haulianlal Guite (IAS) completed Doctorate in Political Science, MNIT, Jaipur, Rajasthan and is ready to proceed to The Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship Program.
Haulianlal Guite was born on September 9, 1987, in Churachandpur, Manipur. Haulianlal Guite got an All India Rank of 33 in the 2010 UPSC Examination. He joined the IAS in 2011 in the Rajasthan cadre at the age of 24.
According to sources, Haulianlal Guite will now proceed on study leave to the University of Minnesota, USA, from next week onwards on the Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship. The Humphrey fellowship is a prestigious mid-career leadership exchange program organized by the US Department of State and is part of the Fulbright program. It is learnt that Haulianlal Guite has received consent from both the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan
The 2011 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Haulianlal Guite is presently the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Control. He completed his doctorate in Political Science from MNIT, Jaipur this week. His thesis is “An Analysis of Digital Media’s Impact on Contemporary Political Doxa”. He is one of the few IAS officers to continue pursuing not just masters but also doctorate after entering the IAS.
Guite has also published a philosophical book in 2017 titled ‘Confessions Of A Dying Mind: The Blind Faith of Atheism.’ It was launched by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and was an Amazon bestseller too.
Professionally, Guite has been awarded in the Gold Category for E-governance project by the Government of India for innovating the AI-enabled Rajsilicosis Portal in Rajasthan during his tenure as Commissioner and Special Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Rajasthan, in August, 2024, among other accolades.
