A Tangkhul lady from Phalee Village, Ukhrul District, Manipur, Rinchui Raman has been selected as a Research Associate at Montclair State University, New Jersey, USA in the Centre for Clean Energy and Sustainability Analytics.
She has obtained a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) degree, with specialisation in Energy and Environment, from the prestigious University of Yale (Ivy League), Connecticut, USA.
Rinchui Raman is the Second Tangkhul Naga to earn a Master’s degree from the University of Yale. The first Tangkhul was Chomri from Teinem Village, who completed her Masters in Forestry.
In 2019, Rinchui Raman co-founded the Phalee Bio-Diversity Project (PBP) at Phalee Village, Ukhrul, Manipur, for which she still has an Advisory role.
Rinchui Raman cleared her Class X from Alice Christian Higher Secondary School Ukhrul and Class XII from Herbert School, Imphal.
