Professor of Practise Confer To Catherine Soyamphi

Manipur International University, by virtue of the authority granted by an Act of the State, recognise and confer Catherine Soyamphi as Professor of Practice of the Manipur International University on 30th July 2025 at Guwahati, Assam.

By virtue of this appointment, the certificate holder is authorized to prefix the word “Professor” or “Prof.” before his or her name.

11 eminent personalities from the North Eastern region were awarded the Professor of Practice.

Catherine Soyamphi was confer the ” Professor of Practice” for outstanding contributions in entrepreneurship and cultural preservation. She is a native of Lungshang Village, Ukhrrul District, Manipur.

Catherine Soyamphi is the CEO of Soyam Products, Ukhrul. This award is an acknowledgement to her significant contributions to women empowerment, agripreneurship, value addition of forest and agricultural produce, preservation of indigenous culture and traditions, skill development and rural innovations. Soyam Products has helped promote local produce, enhance marketing channels, and create livelihood opportunities for women, particularly in rural Manipur.

Catherine Soyamphi has actively showcased indigenous products of Tangkhul-Manipur at major exhibitions and trade fairs across India. Her story serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators in the North East.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to her unwavering dedication. A proud moment for her community and the entrepreneur of Ukhrul, Manipur.
