The Ukhrul Police arrested one man at Ukhrul for sexual assaults of minor, a 14 year old girl. According to Ukhrul Police, on receiving a complaint at around 5:40pm on 29 July 2025 (Ref:- FIR No. 03(07)2025 WPS/UKL U/S 4 & 14 POCSO Act, 2012), the accused person, a 21 year old was arrested on the evening of the same day at around 8:50pm under POCSO Act.
The mother of the minor girl had filed a written complaint at OC/WPS/UKL, following which the accused person was arrested and had been produced before the CJM Ukhrul on Wednesday for police custody for 8 days.
“The case is in initial stage and investigation of the case is in full swing” stated Ukhrul Police.
