Senapati District Journalist Union Takes Shape, Elected Office Bearers to Spearhead Journalistic Excellence

In a significant development for the journalistic community in Senapati district, the Senapati District Journalist Union (SDJU) was formed on 20th September, 2025 at the Hills Hornbill Express Conference hall. The inaugural meeting saw enthusiastic participation from members, who engaged in discussions on key agenda related to journalism.

The meeting culminated in the election of office bearers who will steer the union’s activities in the coming days. The newly elected officials include:

– President: Mr. Samuel Pao

-General Secretary: Mr. Kibambe Felix

– Finance: Miss S. Genevieve

– Media & Publicity: Mr. Ng Solomon Sha

Mr. John Basho

Dr. Wungnaongam

The formation of SDJU marked a crucial step towards promoting journalistic excellence, safeguarding press freedom, and fostering unity among journalists in Senapati district.
