The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, Ministry of Information and Publicity on Saturday issued a clarification in connection with the arrest of one person by police related to the arson incident at Kabinam Village, Senapati district.

“It has come to our knowledge that one person Ramayo Vashum was arrested by the Senapati Police in connection with the TMT-laden truck arson incident at Kabinam village, Senapati district along the National Highway-2.

“This miscreant was formerly a Major in the Naga Army but was given a forced retirement in 2022 due to misconduct unbecoming of his position. We regret his involvement in such anti-social activities. The incident is entirely his personal action and has no connection whatsoever with our organisation and government” stated the clarification issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN.

It is worth mentioning that on 2 March 2026, a loaded TMT truck bearing registration number NL07AA 2863, reportedly on its way to Imphal, was allegedly intercepted and set on fire by two unidentified persons between Kabinam and Lairouching village at around 8.30 AM.
