The Working Committee of Naga National Political Groups (NNPG) while condemning the killing of 6 Naga has warned that the NNPG will not tolerate any form of threat to the Nagas in any form or shape.

The Working Committee of Naga National Political Groups stated that “NNPG is aghast to learn that the six precious lives of the Nagas were defiled to the extent that no normal human being could ever conceive. Beyond every moral and ethical standard, the six Naga lives were made a spectacle of extreme inhumanity. The history shall always remember this sad event to evoke the limitlessness of human conflict.

“The Working Committee of NNPG acknowledges persistence, perseverance and patience demonstrated by UNC in the midst of extraordinary circumstance.

“May we all be reminded that acceptance and forgiveness is the only path to co-existence.”

The Working Committee of NNPG asserted “NNPG shall always seek to strive for multi-ethnic co-existence rather than unipolar narrative. However, we shall not tolerate any form of threat to the Nagas in any form or shape. Collectively the Nagas must confront the common adversaries

“It’s high time that Nagas wherever must rise above narrow misunderstanding, unite and reason together rather than making an attempt to impose factional legitimacy. Whereas it must also be informed that NNPG shall not tolerate any actions, policies or intentions from any section designed to harm the welfare of the Naga people.”

The statement was jointly signed by Gen.(Retd.) Neokpao Konyak, Convener, W/C, NNPG, Col. Isak Sumi, Working Convener and P.Tikhak Working Convener.
