The Indian Army personnel of Litan Company Operating Base (COB) marked the 79th Independence Day with a grand celebration, joined by the Principal, teachers, and students of Indira Gandhi Hill Flower School. The event was a shining example of civil-military harmony and patriotic unity.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, which was jointly unfurled by the Company Commander of Litan COB and the Principal of Indira Gandhi Hill Flower School, symbolizing unity, mutual respect, and collective pride in the nation’s heritage. This was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, sung in unison by the Army personnel, students, and attendees, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic fervor.

The event continued with a tea party organized for the students, providing them a warm and engaging environment to interact with the soldiers. The gathering not only celebrated the spirit of Independence but also gave young minds a chance to understand the role of the armed forces in nation-building.

While the students expressed their excitement and gratitude for being part of the memorable celebration, and many shared their dreams of serving the nation one day, the school Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for their continued support and outreach efforts in the region. The Company Commander highlighted the importance of involving youth in national celebrations to instill a deep sense of patriotism and unity.

The celebration at Litan COB stood as a testament to the strong bond between the Indian Army and the local community, reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, education, and the values of a free and united India.
