The Joint Tribes’ Council Manipur (JTCM) expresses its sincere appreciation to Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles, 19 Assam Rifles – Noney, and 6 Assam Rifles – Tamenglong for the prompt and timely response following the recent incident in the area.

The immediate movement towards the Tamei-Govajang axis demonstrated its commitment to respond to the situation, prevent further escalation and ensure the safety of the local population. Despite challenges on the ground, sustained efforts and presence in the area provided much-needed reassurance and confidence to the local people.

The JTC also appreciates the timely assistance towards the evacuation of the injured through the Haochong helipad, including the necessary security arrangements for safe evacuation.

‘The prompt response, sustained efforts and support extended during this critical situation are sincerely acknowledged and appreciated by the Joint Tribes Council and the local community” stated the statement issued by Dr. Aku Newme, Joint Tribes Council Manipur (JTCM)
