The Federation of Haomee (FoH) has extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to Thuingaleng Muivah, Ato Kilonser, NSCN, on his return to his birthplace Shongran (Somdal) on 22 October 2025.
In a press release issued on Friday, the FoH stated that “Muivah’s homecoming will symbolize unity and integrity among the native peoples of Manipur, fostering a more cohesive and understanding fraternity within the state. The Federation described the occasion as a true “Home Sweet Home” moment for the veteran Naga leader.”
“Muivah’s long journey in the freedom struggle has kept him away from his birthplace and the people of Manipur for many years. His return, it added, fulfills a long-cherished dream for many who have awaited his visit with eagerness and emotion. While acknowledging that several well-wishers who had yearned to meet Muivah have passed away, the Federation expressed hope that their spirits would find contentment in his long-awaited return” stated the release.
“The happiness of meeting with your family members, relatives, as well as the Federation of Haomee share the warm welcome to you,” stated the press release jointly signed by Sapamcha Jadumani, President, Dr. K. Heera Kabui, Vice President and Yazing Vicisy Shimray General Secretary of the Federation of Haomee.
