DISHA Meeting Held For Kamjong District

The first quarterly meeting of DISHA for Kamjong District held today at Classic Grande. Outer MP Alfred Kangam Arthur chaired the meeting in the presence of 43-Phungyar (ST) AC MLA, Leishiyo Keishing and DC Kamjong, Rangnamei Rang Peter.

Several DLOs, SDOs and SDCs attended the review meeting.

MP Alfred Kangam Arthur while reviewing the report of various departments, asserted on imposing and implementing policies based on factual report of the concerned department. He assured that the ministry will intervene if deemed necessary and stressed on the need to coordinate and supplement wherever there is a gap in the district developmental process.

Altogether 31 departments that presented developmental reports include Health, PMGSY, PWD, Education, MSPDCL, MSPCL, CAF&PD, NHIDCL, DIC, Social Welfare, MSLRM, Forest, etc.

It may be noted that DISHA (District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee) is a government initiative that aimed at improving coordination among elected representatives and ensuring efficient, time-bound development at the district level. It facilitates a quarterly review of all development activities within the district, with the goal of promoting participative governance and deliberative democracy.
