Asufii Christian Institute’s NSS Programme Officer Honoured with My Bharat NSS Award

The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu presented the My Bharat -National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 6 October 2025.

Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, confers the NSS Awards every year to recognise and reward outstanding contributions towards voluntary community service made by the Programme Officers/NSS Units and NSS Volunteers, with a view to further promote NSS in the country. This year the awards was conferred upon 10 NSS Units along with their 10 Programme Officers

Ms. NG Mary Saza, Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS) from Asufii Christian Institute (ACI), Manipur, was awarded the My Bharat NSS Award 2022–23 under Program Officer/Unit Category. The Hon’ble President of India conferred the award alongside Dr. Daili Neli, Principal of ACI on the 6th October at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

Ms. Saza was recognized for her dedication, leadership, and contributions to promoting social welfare and community engagement through NSS activities. Since its inception in 2015 as a self finance Unit under Manipur University, the NSS in ACI has grown by leap and bounds. To this day, the college has two full-fledged Units and a separate Unit at Asufii Christian Sr. Sec. School, under the tireless leadership of Ms. Saza, with each Unit led by separate Program Officers.

This national honour brings pride to Asufii Christian Institute and the people of Manipur, celebrating their impactful work in social service.
