The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur, (ANSAM) registers its fiercest and strongest condemnation in the highest term possible against the barbaric, cowardly, and premeditated life attempt upon the Monsang Naga Students’ leaders on the night of 30th October, 2025, between Kakching Lamkhai and Pallel near Bijoypur, perpetrated by a group of six to seven unidentified miscreants.
The victims are Eno Gideon Kiiri, President STS (Monsang Naga Students’ Union), Japhou village, Eno Wanglar Phillip, General Secretary STS, Japhou village, Eno Ts.Hollyson, Senior Leader STS, Liwa Khullen village and Eno Th. Moni of Liwa Khullen village. They were brutally assaulted in an act that reeks of pure savagery and deliberate intent to murder. This despicable attack, carried out without provocation, stands as a direct assault on the sanctity, unity and honour of the Naga Students Community and on the peace -loving Monsang Naga People.
In a statement issued by Sochuingam Kashung, Secretary for Information, Publicity and Public Relations of ANSAM stated that, “ANSAM views this heinous act as not merely a physical attack on individuals, but a calculated attempt to intimidate, silence, and destabilise the moral courage of the Naga Students’ Movement. Such a vile, cowardly, and shameful acts deserve nothing but the harshest condemnation from every right -thinking citizen.
“The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) therefore demands from the Law and order enforcing agencies to take immediate, uncompromising, and decisive action -to hunt down the culprits and deliver justice without fear or favour. Any failure or delay in delivering justice will be construed as complicity and negligence on the part of the Law and order enforcing agencies.”
ANSAM also issued a stern warning to the perpetrators “you may hide for time, but the truth of your cowardice shall not escape the conscience of the Naga students and the Naga people in general. Justice shall find you and the wrath of a united Naga student front will rise in defence of our people ‘s dignity and right to live without fear.”
This incident is not an isolated attack, it is an attack on the sanctity of our student fraternity and the principle of peaceful coexistence. ANSAM stands shoulder to shoulder with the Monsang Naga Students’ Leaders, with unwavering solidarity, unflinching strength and a firm commitment to ensure that justice shall prevail , no matter the cost.
“The Naga Students and Youths will not be cowed and will rise for the defence of truth and justice” added the ANSAM statement.
