Maku Village of Kamjong District, Manipur was once embroiled with internal village conflict, but that has become a story of the past today.
With the initiative of the Zingsho National Workers Forum ( ZNWF ) along with the civil society from the Zingsho Region, the internal dispute that has arisen since 2022 has been settled amicably among all the parties concerned including the Maku Awungshi Clan and other clans of Maku. The villagers have resolved to live peacefully in the days to come.
With the settlement of the dispute, the villagers are looking forward to a better emotional integration, better understanding and unity. According to the 2011 census, Maku has 126 households.
