NSCN: Joint Council Reaffirms Framework Agreement

The Joint Council of the NSCN/GPRN was convened on Thursday at the Council Headquarters Hebron an deliberated in the critical issues confronting the Naga national movement and reaffirmed its commitment to stand its ground in protecting, defending and honoring the historic Indo-Naga Framework Agreement.

The press statement issued by the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, Ministry of Information and Publicity stated that “a Joint Council of the NSCN/GPRN was convened today at the Council Headquarter Hebron, to deliberate on the critical issues confronting the Naga national movement.

“Following intensive deliberations, the Joint Council unanimously adopted the following landmark resolutions to reaffirm its unwavering stance on the Indo-Naga political struggle:

1. Uncompromising Commitment to the Naga Cause: The NSCN/GPRN, under the resolute Collective Leadership of Yaruiwo Ino Q. Tuccu, Kedalo Ino Tongmeth Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Ino Th. Muivah, and Deputy Ato Kilonser Lt. Gen. (Retd) Vs. Atem, VC, explicitly declares that it has never surrendered, nor will it ever compromise or surrender, the sacred Naga National Cause.

2. Endorsement of the Collective Leadership: The Joint Council explicitly endorses and supports the Collective Leadership in guiding the NSCN/GPRN and leading the Naga people in their historical movement for self-determination.

3. Reaffirmation of the Framework Agreement: The Joint Council firmly reaffirms its commitment to stand its ground in protecting, defending, and honoring the historic Indo-Naga Framework Agreement signed on 3 August 2015 as the foundational basis for an honorable political settlement.

The NSCN/GPRN calls upon all Naga citizens, regional authorities, and sympathizers of the cause to stand united behind the Collective Leadership during this defining hour of our history.
