21st Veikhang Katamnao Long Meet 2026 Begins

The 21st edition of Veikhang Katamnao Long (VKL) General Conference cum Sports, Cultural and Literary Meet 2026 kickstarted at Khangkhui. Phungdhar Village, Ukhrul District, Manipur.

Qr Khuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu , Honble MLA and former Leader NPF Legislature Party, Nagaland attended the inaugural programme as chief guest. Speaking at the occasion, Khuzholuzo Neinu calls upon all Naga’s of Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal, Assam and Mayanmar; that shared a common responsibility to come together as one entity and strengthen our brotherhood. He further added “in spite of all struggles, hurdles and battles ahead of us , we must all come together with God and not to worship worldly pleasure, money, status and position. Quoting the Bible verse from Proverbs 16:3 “Commit yourself to the Lord whatever you do and he will establish your plan”. He remarked our dreams can come true only with God’s presence.

He expressed his support and extended solidarity towards the Tangkhul Naga community and called upon all the Nagas to come together under one umbrella for a better and stronger Naga-land.

Hon’ble MLA of 44 A/C, Ram Muivah attended the program as chief host. He urges the youth to promote entrepreneurship to bring changes and development. He also extends his heartfelt gratitude to Khangkhui Phungdhar village for consenting to provide drinking water to the Ukhrul Town.

Shimreingam Kasar, President of VKL informed that ‘the 21st edition of VKL Meet 2026 is being hosted by Khangkhui Phungdhar Students’ Union from 21-28 January 2026 under the theme “Lengshik Lengrikta Semkasā Ithot”.
