The 8th Assam Rifles conducted a Medical Health Camp at Old Age Home, Kamjong and Aishii village of Kamjong District, Manipur on 02 November 2025.
The aim of the camp was to extend a helping hand to the people staying in and around Kamjong. Medical teams of Assam Rifles along with a Civil Medical Team carried out health checkups of residents of Kamjong and Aishii villages. The camp offered comprehensive medical checkups focusing on common diseases, eye check-up, old age-related ailments like Blood Pressure, Hypertension, and Arthritis. Free medicines were also distributed.
Locals were educated about factors of various communicable diseases, personal hygiene, general cleanliness, seasonal diseases, and preventive measures to avoid such illnesses.
The medical camp received an overwhelming response with participation of more than 150 people, including 80 males, 40 females, and 30 children. Villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to 8th Assam Rifles for conducting the medical health camp.
