The Government of the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), office of the Ministry of Information & Publicity on Saturday issued a press communique warning to all cultivators, settlers and their supporters, to immediately vacate and desist from all farming, cultivation and occupation of Zeliangrong-lnpui ancestral territory.

The press communique stated “the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has been left with no choice but to take decisive action against the illegal poppy cultivation and the vehicles and structures belonging to illegal settlers who have ignored repeated and earnest appeals to cease operations on Zeliangrong-lnpui ancestral land specifically Waphong Village, Lungkhongmon area, Sapermeina Sub-Division, Kangpokpi District, Manipur.”

It further stated, “this communiqué serves as a final warning to all cultivators, settlers and their supporters, immediately vacate and desist from all farming, cultivation and occupation of Zeliangrong-lnpui ancestral territory. Any continued defiance will be met with fitting reprisals as determined by the Front; no excuses will be accepted.

“The ZUF will not permit any community, group, or individual to encroach upon, exploit, or submerge even a single inch of our ancestral land and resources by force or deceit. The Front will intensify efforts to remove all illegal refugees and settlers from Zeliangrong-lnpui territory and to restore rightful ownership and control to its people.”

“Let this stand as a clear, unwavering declaration: the Zeliangrong people will defend their land, their heritage, and their future at all costs” added the statement issued by the Ministry of Information & Publicity Wing, Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF).
