Th. Muivah, Ato Kilonser (Prime Minister) of NSCN on Friday unveiled the sacred monolith at Gethsemane, Somdal. The programme was blessed by Rev. Aping Khamrang, Pastor of Somdal Baptist Church.

The inscription reads:

TO THE ETERNAL GLORY OF GOD

This sacred monolith is erected in solemn reverence upon my heartfelt return to my beloved native village Somdal. It stands as an enduring testimony to the divine foundation of my faith and to the unfailing faithfulness of God throughout sixty-one (61) years of devoted service of the nation.

At Shangteikui, Theiva, I was graciously called into the radiant presence of Jesus Christ

At Kharur, Hoomi, I was sanctified and anointed by the divine touch of the Holy Spirit,

At Gethsemane, Somdal, where this monolith is now raised, I was clothed with the resplendent Armour of God, strengthened and consecrated for his eternal purpose.

Thus far the Lord has helped us

Samuel 7.12

KUKNALIM

In the Bible, Jesus prayed three times in the Garden of Gethsemane to show his full submission to God’s will, the depth of his anguish, and his humanity in facing crucifixion.

Th. Muivah after joining the Naga Movement in 1964, he returned to his native village Somdal in 1973 during the inaugural ceremony of Somdal Baptist Church. He did not show up in the gathering but he and his comrades halted at a dense jungle at Somdal.

A lone white flag flutters atop a tree to signify the place. A little away from the spot, a prayer centre -Gethsemane Prayer Centre, Somdal has been constructed.

Th. Muivah re-visited his safe haven during his homecoming because this was the very place where he submitted to a higher will.
