Coaching Institutes To Register With The Authority

Any person or body of persons, society, institute, trust, etc., providing coaching or academic support for competitive examinations or for students at the secondary and higher secondary levels, with an enrolment exceeding 20 (twenty) students, is required to register with the registering authority, i.e., the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur.

As per notification issued by ZEO Ukhrul, dated 11 September 2025, stated that “pursuant to letter No.3/14/2022-ED(V) dated Imphal, the 2nd September, 2025 from the Addl. Director of Education(S/Valley), Govt. of Manipur, it is hereby informed to all the concerned that as per the Manipur Coaching Institute (Control and Regulation) Rules, 2022, any person or body of persons, society, institute, trust, etc., providing coaching or academic support for competitive examinations or for students at the secondary and higher secondary levels, with an enrolment exceeding 20 (twenty) students, is required to register with the registering authority, i.e., the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur.”

The notice by Badan Thaimei (MES), Zonal Education Officer, Ukhrul further added, “therefore, all the coaching institutes operating under the jurisdiction of the undersigned to submit their registration proposals to the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur at the earliest, in compliance with the Rules.”
