ANSAM All Set To Commemorate 79th Naga Independence Day

The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) in collaboration with Chandel Naga CSOs is all set to commemorate the 79th Naga Independence Day on 14 August 2025 at District Sports Complex Chamdil, Christian Village, Chandel District Headquarters.

Eno. Tongmeth Wangnao, His Excellency, the Vice-chairman, NSCN, GPRN will grace the commemoration as Chief Guest. Eno. TS. Thumpa, Member of Collective Leadership,, NSCN, GPRN, Eno. Angnaikham Makunga, Member of Collective Leadership, NSCN, GPRN Convenor, Political Affairs Committee (PAC), Maj. (Retd). Johny T Dilbung, Member of Collective Leadership, NSCN, GPRN and Eno. Kraibo Chawang, Member of Collective Leadership NSCN, GPRN will be the Guests of Honour of the commemoration.

Eno. N. Gonmei Poujan, Vice-president, UNC, will be the Commemoratory Host. The special guests for the occasion are Eno. Medar Khulpuwa Maring, Kilonser, Ministry of Forest And Environment, NSCN,GPRN, Εnο. Hb. Ruwngkhel, Kilonser, CAO-caretaker, Khurmi Region, NSCN,GPRN and Colonel Sp. Shelthung, CO AC Battalion, Naga Army

The special invitees will be Eno. David Boyes, Vice-president, Naga Hoho, Eno. Medovi Rhi, President, Naga Students Federation (NSF) , Inoli. Priscilla Thiumai, President, Naga Women Union (NWU) and Eno. Joyson Mazamo, Convenor, Naga People’s Movement For Human Rights (NPMHR-S).

ANSAM stated, “Nagas wherever they are declared their independence ahead of India and Burma on August 14, 1947. Respect the letter and spirit of the Amsterdam Joint Communique of July 11, 2002 and Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015 by honouring Nagalim National Flag and Constitution.”

The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur solemnly solicits the presence of the constituent units and subordinate units of the association, leaders of UNC, NWU, NPMHR-S, Tribe Hohos, Naga Churches, Politicians, Social Activists, Intellectuals and well-wishers in the commemoration of the 79th naga independence day declaration on 14 August 2025.
